Journal of Educational Research is triple blind (two international and one local reviewer) peer reviewed open access research journal being continuously published since 1993. The journal mainly focuses the dissemination of knowledge usually relevant to teaching-learning process through electronic and print media. The editorial office sends the acknowledgement email to the authors within five working days of the receipt of the article.

The articles received for publication are passed through Turnitin software for checking similarity index. The manuscripts having more than 19% similarity index do not proceed for further process. The names of the authors and institutions are replaced with new identity of qualifying manuscripts and email to the members of editorial board for reading purpose. A bimonthly meeting of the members of editorial board usually on first and fifteen of each calendar month is called to decide the suitability of the articles for the journal and identifying the referees for each of the qualifying manuscript. The reviewers are selected on the basis of their experience, expertise and relevance in the area. After getting consent the selected electronic version of articles are sent to two international and one local reviewer for evaluation. At the same time the editorial office also conveys the decision to the authors of unqualified articles through email. The authors and referees are kept unaware with the identities of each other. Normally referee reports are received within two months. However, in unavoidable circumstances the review time may be extended for further two weeks on the request of the referee. The review process resulted in acceptance, acceptance with minor revision, acceptance with major revision and rejection of the article. All the three positive reports are required to accept the article for publication. The decision for accepting and rejecting the article is finalized by considering referees' comments in the editorial board meeting and convey to the authors via email of the journal along with the time duration for the final submission of the research work.

After revision the articles recommended for major revisions are discussed in the editorial board meeting for final decision of acceptance or rejection of the revised version. The editorial board resends the article to the author for further revision within two weeks' time frame if revised version could not satisfy the board members. The addition of substandard new material to the article may lead to the rejection of the article. Such type of articles did not proceed further until received as fresh submission after substantial revision. The article is considered withdrawn if the author does not agree to make revisions in the light of the referees' comment.
